Tim is a 21 year old lifestyle and landscape photographer based in NSW, Australia. Inspired by natural settings, Tim’s passion for documenting and exploring new locations is constantly growing. With an aim to convey a clear message through his work, the notion of breaking free of the daily grind is evident in his style. Influencing individuals to get out and see what the world has to offer is at the top of his list.
WHAT'S INSIDE YOUR LANGLY?
A Canon 5D MK III, 15mm F2.8, 17-40mm F4, 24mm 2.8, 50mm, 70-200mm F4 along with various ND/GND filters, remotes, cleaning kits, spare batteries and a head torch that fill the gaps!
WHAT MOTIVATES YOU TO EXPLORE?
The constant search for the most eye inspiring locations keeps me motivated to get out and see what the world has on offer at every given opportunity. Documenting my surroundings and experiences with a camera in hand is always at the top of my list.
WHERE DO YOU FIND YOUR INSPIRATION?
I'm most inspired when I'm in a natural environment, I feel a notion of freedom when documenting a location with my own style and approach. It's the subtle and rare moments that help me visualise concepts and eventually translate them into physical images. Another main source of inspiration comes from researching on the web and viewing plenty of content prior to visiting a new location.
FILM VS DIGITAL?
For me, shooting digital is a far more practical option. However, I do hold a large respect for film and I can appreciate the process - it's definitely rewarding.
WHAT'S YOUR MOST MEMORABLE PHOTO?
I tend to look at my work as a portfolio as a whole, that way I see my work developing over time. I don't feel as though I've taken one image that stands out as a clear favourite, but I know I appreciate an image more if I've put time into it.
